- Priced across more Galaxy Tab models than anything except the screen. A tablet that charges only in one position, or has stopped charging from a cable that works elsewhere, is usually this.
- Battery replacement
- A Tab that will not hold a charge through an evening, or one that has started to lift at a corner. The battery is adhered across the back panel, so it is a drop-off rather than a wait.
- Rear and front cameras
- A camera that will not focus or shows nothing. On a tablet the rear camera sits close to the surface, so it takes the impact of a flat drop more often than a phone camera does.
- Back glass and frame
- Priced on fewer models than the rest, so ring first if that is what yours needs. A bent frame matters more on a tablet than a phone — a large bonded screen will not seat on a chassis that is out of true.

- Is a tablet screen the same job as a phone screen?
- No, and it is worth knowing why before you compare the two prices. A Galaxy Tab screen is physically larger, bonded to the frame, and needs the adhesive to cure properly rather than being rushed back together. It is a longer job with a dearer part.
- My Tab charges only if I hold the cable a certain way.
- That is the charging port, and it is the second most common repair we quote on these after the screen. It is worth having done before the port fails completely, because a tablet that will not charge at all is a tablet you cannot back up.
- Can I use it while it is being repaired?
- No — it stays with us for the day in most cases, because the adhesive on a bonded screen has to set before the tablet is safe to flex or carry. If you need something off it first, tell us at drop-off.
- How long does a Galaxy Tab screen take?
- Usually two to three hours, and sometimes it stays overnight so the adhesive can set properly.
- The screen works but the touch does not.
- That is usually the digitiser, which on most Tabs is part of the same assembly. One repair either way.
