What we repair on a Galaxy
- Screen replacement
- On most Galaxy models the display is bonded to the frame, so the screen arrives as a full assembly. That is why a Samsung screen usually costs more than the equivalent iPhone one and why the job takes longer.
- Back glass
- Quoted across nearly as many Galaxy models as the screen is, because Samsung rear panels crack readily and the repair is entirely separate from the front. A cracked back does not mean the screen needs doing.
- Charging port
- Charging that only works at an angle, or stops when you move the cable. On most Galaxy models the port is on its own flex, which makes it a more contained job than it sounds.
- Rear and front cameras
- A camera that will not focus, a black preview, or a shattered lens cover. On many Galaxy models the rear lens glass is a separate part from the camera behind it, so a cracked lens is often the smaller repair.
- Battery replacement
- A phone that drains through the afternoon, shuts down with charge remaining, or has started to swell. Galaxy batteries are adhered in place and come out with heat and patience rather than force.
- Speaker
- Sound that is muffled, crackling, or gone from one side. Worth checking before you replace the phone over it — it is one of the cheaper things on this list.
- Network cable
- The antenna flex. Signal that drops in places the phone used to hold it, or a phone that keeps losing mobile data while wifi is fine, is often this rather than the carrier.
- Frame replacement
- For a chassis bent enough that a new screen will not seat properly. Fitting a display to a twisted frame is how a good screen fails weeks later.
- Motherboard
- No power, no boot, or a fault that survives every other replacement. Board-level work is diagnosed before it is quoted — see the logic board page.

Parts and what the price depends on
Galaxy screens are usually a full assembly, because on most models the display is bonded to the frame — that is why a Samsung screen often costs more than the equivalent iPhone one, and why the job takes a little longer. Folding models are quoted separately after inspection; the hinge and the inner display are a different repair to a normal screen.
Questions we get asked
- How long does a Galaxy screen take?
- Usually one to two hours. The assembly has to be heated off and re-bonded, which is slower than an iPhone screen.
- Do you repair folding phones?
- Yes — Z Fold and Z Flip. Inner-display and hinge work is quoted after inspection rather than off the list, because the failure varies.
- My Galaxy charges slowly or not at all.
- Usually the charging port, and usually a same-day fix. Sometimes it is the battery instead, which is why we check before quoting.
- Is the screen genuine Samsung?
- We fit service-pack assemblies where the model has them and quality aftermarket where it does not. We will tell you which one your quote is for.
