Parts and what the price depends on
Board repair is not a part swap, so it is not priced like one. The device is diagnosed first, and what it needs depends on what failed: a shorted line, a lifted pad, a failed IC. Some boards are recoverable and some are not, and you will be told which before any money is spent on it.
Questions we get asked
- My phone got wet and will not turn on.
- Bring it in without trying to charge it, and do not put it in rice. The sooner a board is cleaned the more of it survives.
- How long does board work take?
- Usually several days to a week. It is diagnostic work, not a swap, and rushing it does not make it more likely to succeed.
- Can you recover my data from a dead phone?
- Often, if the board can be brought back far enough to read it. It is assessed first and never promised in advance.
