What board-level work covers
- Diagnostic assessment
- Where every board job starts. The device is opened, powered under measurement and traced until the failure is found — because on a board there is no part to swap until you know which one failed. What it needs is quoted after this, not before.
- No power and boot faults
- A phone or MacBook showing nothing at all: no logo, no charging light, no response to a forced restart. This is the fault most often written off elsewhere, and it is frequently a better outcome than it looks.
- Water damage recovery
- Cleaning the corrosion and repairing what the liquid reached. Worth knowing before you agree: water damage carries no warranty, because corrosion keeps spreading after a clean, and a device working when you collect it can still fail later from the original spill.
- Micro-soldering
- Component-level repair under a microscope — a shorted line, a lifted pad, a failed IC. This is the work that gets sent away by shops that do not have the bench for it, and it is done here rather than posted to Sydney.
- Data recovery
- Getting photos and messages off a device that will not start. Often the real reason a board job is worth doing at all, and it is worth saying up front if that is what matters most to you.

Parts and what the price depends on
Board repair is not a part swap, so it is not priced like one. The device is diagnosed first, and what it needs depends on what failed: a shorted line, a lifted pad, a failed IC. Some boards are recoverable and some are not, and you will be told which before any money is spent on it.

- My phone got wet and will not turn on.
- Bring it in without trying to charge it, and do not put it in rice. The sooner a board is cleaned the more of it survives.
- How long does board work take?
- Usually several days — commonly three to seven, and longer for a MacBook. It is diagnostic work, not a swap, and rushing it does not make it more likely to succeed.
- Can you recover my data from a dead phone?
- Often, if the board can be brought back far enough to read it. It is assessed first and never promised in advance.
