Parts and what the price depends on
On most iPads the glass and the display are separate layers, so a cracked front does not always mean replacing the screen underneath it. That is worth checking before you assume the worst, and it is why an iPad is quoted after we have looked at it rather than from a photo.
Questions we get asked
- How long does an iPad screen take?
- Typically two to three hours, sometimes longer. The adhesive needs time to set and rushing it is how a screen lifts a fortnight later.
- Is it worth repairing an older iPad?
- Sometimes not, and we will say so. We would rather tell you a repair costs more than the tablet is worth than take the job.
- Do you repair iPad charging ports?
- Yes. On an iPad the port is soldered to the board, so it is a bench job rather than a swap.
